Reasons Why You Should Visit Varadero, Cuba

If you are planning an adventurous trip to Cuba in the recent months, Cuba’s most famous beach destination should be in your planning. Varadero is located on the north coast of Cuba. There are many popular things in which you can explore there which is why many tourists are attracted by it. More than one million tourists visit Varadero every year.

White Sandy Beaches

Varadero is known as a resort town that is one of the largest in the Caribbean. Varadero has about 20km worth of white sandy beaches where you can talk a wonderful stroll with your friends or loved one. Going there in the morning is especially refreshing because you will get to see beautiful sunrises. You can also visit there during the day or in the afternoon, because no matter what time of day, you will always find tranquility there.

Parque Natural Punta Hicacos

This natural park in Varadero is famous all over the world and is a nature reserve with a very beautiful beach and wonderful caves that you can visit. Since this is a protected natural park, there are many plant species to be found there. Along with these plants there are also ponds and caves that contain fossils and historical paintings. The caves that are found there are called Cueva de Ambrosio and Cueva de Musulmanes.

This park that is found in Varadero is a beautiful landscaped garden that is open to the public’s enjoyment. Parties, picnics and barbecues can be hosted in this breathtaking and lush oasis. Tourists usually rent rowboats and water bikes during their visit to this park. There is also a swimming pool where children can have fun and enjoy each other’s company.

Families can also rent bikes, motorcycles, as well as karts to explore this park further. The park is very safe for children to roam about. If your child is a lover of animals, he/she can ride a camel safely around the park, with a guide.

For those who are interested in nature, there are diverse tree species on this park as well as different species of birds that you can watch.

Seafari Cayo Blanco

Instead of a safari in Africa, this is a seafari in Varadero. Many tourists visit this place to go snorkeling in a coral reef to see all of the sealife that Varadero has to offer. If you have an underwater camera, you will be able to take pictures of many wonderful sea creatures here. Other tourists visit this place for the open bar that they offer and the delicious lunch options on the menu. Live music and entertainment is also offered at Cayo Blanco.

Cayo Piedra Underwater Park

This underwater park is a very popular snorkeling and diving area where explorers will find beautiful and vibrantly colored fish as well as a myriad of corals. There are also shipwrecks under water that visitors could explore.

    Vedado  is a central business district and urban neighbourhood in the city of Havana, Cuba. Vedado is a more modern part of the city than the areas to the east, developed in the first half of the 20th century, during the Republic period. In 2016 it was described by one commentator as the city’s “most affluent” section. The main street running east to west is Calle 23, also known as “La Rampa”. The northern edge of the district is the waterfront seawall known as the Malecón, a famous and popular place for social gatherings in the city.
